Become a Helium Hero by Volunteering this November
HELP US CHANGE LIVES BY VOLUNTEERING THIS NOVEMBER
This November, Helium Arts will be getting ready for the Christmas season by bringing our ever popular Superhero Transformation Station to ArtSource in Dublin and City Hall Crafts Fair in Cork. Come help us spread the word about our award-winning programmes in hospitals and community settings, supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children facing lifelong medical conditions.
At Helium Arts, we believe creativity changes lives. Volunteer with us this November, and help us change the lives of sick children in Ireland.
Summary of Role:
Do you have a creative flare and passion for working with children? Do you believe creativity and the arts provide a meaningful outlet for stress, anxiety and loneliness?
As a Helium Arts volunteer, you will facilitate children to take part in a creative arts-based activity, using craft supplies and costumes, encouraging them to let their creativity free and allowing them to explore their own sense of self through creative expression.
You will get the chance to meet members of the public and have interesting conversations about the joy and power of creativity. The public will also be given the opportunity to engage with our organisation by joining our mailing list, buying our Christmas cards, making a donation or signing up to become a volunteer.
9th-11th November at the RDS, Dublin
23rd-25th of November at City Hall, Cork
All volunteers will be asked to volunteer for one full day (8 hours) or two half days (4 hours each)
All volunteers will be given full induction into their roles and will be supported by members of the Helium Arts team and long-term volunteers. It’s going to be a fun, creative atmosphere for all involved… We’d love to have you on board as a Helium hero for our November Public Events 2018!
If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with a CV and a brief statement about why you would like to volunteer with Helium Arts this November.
Closing date: Monday 12th of November, 5 PM
