Helium’s Autumn Programmes
Autumn means falling leaves, Halloween adventures, and lots of new creative programmes here at Helium Arts. Take a look at the projects and workshops we have going on this season.
Midlands Animation Project for Children with Diabetes
This autumn, Helium Arts is hosting an animation project for children with diabetes aged 9-12 who are living in the Midlands. At a taster workshop in October, participants got to try out animation techniques and meet other children. In November, they will bring their new skills to our mid-term camp where they will get to make their own animations. The project is led by visual artist Ciara Harrison and animator Pádraig Fagan of Paper Panther Productions.
Dublin Open Studios for Children with Long-Term Health Conditions
Children aged 9-12 with long-term health conditions are invited to join Helium’s new Open Studio art programme in Dublin. Once a month, participants will have the opportunity to connect and get creative in the fantastic Irish Museum of Modern Art. Explore new creative skills and materials, get inspired by IMMA’s exhibitions, and make art together in a relaxed environment. The Dublin Open Studio is led by visual artist Ciara Harrison and supported by medical professionals.
