Niamh O’Connor is a visual artist who works in a range of media, including photography and video. She is interested in health and collaborative ways of working in community and healthcare settings.
“Pregnancy is such a time of change – in many ways a woman also gives birth to herself. As an artist, a woman and a mother, it is interesting to me to explore the kinds of processes that women experience and uncover the different ways that women resource themselves, to meet the challenges at this important moment.” – Niamh O’Connor
Pia Lück is an Art Therapist, Play Therapist and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. Pia has worked in diverse community art settings and mental health settings for the past 15 years.
Pregnancy Dreaming has been funded by the Arts Council’s Artist in the Community Scheme, managed by Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts, and is taking place in association with Helium Arts, the arts and health organisation for children.
