Helium Arts Seeks A Visual Artist to develop a specialised remote arts and health programme for teenagers (freelance position)
Helium Arts is seeking a professional, multi-disciplinary, visual artist to develop Helium’s Remote Creative Health Programme for teenagers with long-term health conditions in 2021. This role will design and deliver a pilot programme and future development brief for a programme that can be replicated in the future. A research and development period will take place in the first half of 2021 with pilot programmes delivered during the Summer and Autumn of 2021. The programme will need to be developed in response to the needs and interests of young people living with long-term health conditions and additional needs, including disabilities, as well as key stakeholder groups. Applicants must have a strong collaborative, inclusive youth arts practice, experience of designing art programmes, and skills delivering remotely. The role will be supported through collaboration with a Creative Producer.
Helium Arts is the national children’s arts and health charity, developing the creativity of children living with long-term conditions to support their wellbeing including social connections, self-esteem, and sense of agency.
