Helium Arts Is Hiring a Development Manager (Part-Time)

About Helium Arts

Helium Arts empowers children living with long term health conditions through creativity and the Arts. Over the past 10 years, they have positively impacted the lives of over 5,000 children. Their Creative Health Hubs address the social isolation, poor self-esteem, risk of depression, and lack of agency experienced by children aged 6-18 years living with long-term health conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, and other complex and rare conditions.

About the Role

Helium Arts are currently seeking an experienced Development Manager who will support Helium’s capabilities by developing and implementing a fundraising strategy (2023-2025) in line with their five-year development strategy (2023-2027). The appointed person will aid in diversifying income streams with a particular focus on corporate partnerships and major gift fundraising.

The Development Manager will prepare proposals and pitches to individuals, corporations, foundations, private and public grant-making agencies. They will plan key communications to existing supporters to further engage them in the mission of Helium Arts and encourage higher level giving over the donor cycle. Additionally, the post holder will research and establish a master prospect list for donor acquisition. The appointed person will be a part of the management team at Helium Arts and will also contribute to the development of a new marketing strategy.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing and implementing fundraising strategies, ideally within a small, fast-paced organisation. They will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, they should have the ability to adapt easily, be highly motivated and be ready to bring their creative touch to this role. The post holder will need to understand the transformative impact of the arts and have the passion to facilitate Helium Arts mission.
