Youth Workshops (ages 13-16)

Welcome to our creative art workshops designed for ages 13-16!

We run in-person workshops for young people (ages 13-16) with lifelong physical health conditions in community venues in Cork, Dublin, Galway and Limerick.

All workshops are led by professional artists and have medical support onsite. Whether you’re an artist or just curious, everyone is welcome! It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who share similar experiences and pick up new skills along the way.

What’s Involved?

We run both 3-day camps during the school holidays and Saturday youth meet-ups, throughout the year.

Our activities with our youth groups in 2024 have included visits to exhibitions, time spent outdoors in nature, and engaging in various artistic pursuits such as printmaking, painting, drawing, sketching, collage, sound art, animation and photography.

“I feel I can really express myself through art and my creations. I am confident in my art and what I make.”

(Ruth Cotter, workshop participant, age 14)

93% of parents indicate that Helium Arts had improved their child’s physical health & wellbeing.
