Creativitude 2024
In June 2024, Helium Arts launched its National Creative Health Programme with an inspiring week of events at the Naughton Institute, Trinity College Dublin. At the heart of the celebration was CREATIVITUDE, a powerful exhibition of artworks by children and young people from Cork, Galway, and Limerick who took part in our Creative Health Hub programmes in 2022 and 2023.
Running from 11–15 June 2024, CREATIVITUDE showcased a vibrant mix of large-scale drawings, sculpture, animation, and playful protest-inspired pieces, all exploring themes of identity, imagination, and access. The works were created in collaboration with artists Ashleigh Ellis, Chelsea Canavan, Sarah Fuller, and Niamh Gibbons, and curated by Monica Flynn.
The launch week was full of energy and emotion. Alongside the exhibition, we heard moving stories from families, expert insights from our guest speakers, and powerful reflections from our Youth Advisory Group. On Saturday, we wrapped things up with a fun, hands-on drop-in workshop for Cruinniú na nÓg 2024, where families got a chance to try out some creative activities led by Dublin artists Laura Cruz de Toledo and Peggie McKeon.
It was a week we won’t forget—one that celebrated the creativity, resilience, and voices of the young people at the heart of everything we do. Check out the pics below.
