Hospital

Helium Arts supports children’s wellbeing in hospital through art, creativity and play. On our Artist in Residence programme, professional artists collaborate with children and those who care for them over a number of months,  developing art projects based on participants’ ideas, interests and passions.

Since 2015, our Fireflies Project for teenagers at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital has been investigating how the arts can support transition to adult care by promoting independence, decision making skills, communication skills and improved self-esteem. Fireflies is supported by the BNP Paribas Foundation’s ‘Dream Up’ programme.
