Join our free Saturday youth meet-ups for ages 13-16 with lifelong physical health conditions.

Come on a journey of artistic exploration with us!  Make friends, connect with people who share similar life experiences, and unleash your creativity. Join our community where every voice is valued, and every story is unique.

Saturday Meet Ups for Autumn / Winter will take place as follows:

Galway City Museum
Time: 14:00-16:00

You can also join this group for a 3-day camp during the school midterm break from 30th October – 1st November (this is optional). Check it out here!

What’s Involved?

So far this year, our activities with the Saturday Youth Meet Up groups have included visits to exhibitions, time spent outdoors in nature, and engaging in various artistic pursuits such as printmaking, painting, drawing, sketching, collage, sound art, animation and photography.

How to Register

Step 1:

We’ll get in touch to say ‘hello’ and make sure that Helium Arts is the right fit.

Once eligibility is confirmed, we will be back in touch to book your place.

Conditions include diabetes, epilepsy, chronic asthma, juvenile arthritis, heart conditions, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, allergies, rare and complex conditions and more.

Meet the Artist

Sarah Fuller is a visual artist and puppeteer and founding member of Dog and String Theatre.

She is committed to making work for children’s audiences in many forms and has years of experience working as an artist in schools and health care contexts with people of all ages and abilities. A large percentage of her practice is collaborative or involves a participatory process, incorporating, drawing, illustration, puppetry, animation, and storytelling.

She holds a BA, Hons. in Textile Design, Central St. Martins college of Art and Design, London and an MA in Visual Arts Practice, IADT, Dún Laoghaire. She is a Creative Associate with the Arts Council’s Creative Schools program and recently appointed Associate Artist with Kids’ Own Publishing Partnership.
