ONLINE Autumn Camp for Teenagers (ages 13-15)

Dates: Mid-Term Break (31 Oct - 4 Nov)
- 3 days of interactive sessions on Tues, Thurs and Sat
- Optional time in between sessions to get creative at your own pace!

    This Autumn mid-term break, join our FREE creative arts camp from your own home!

    This camp is suitable for teenagers (ages 13-15) living with a lifelong physical health condition.

    The camp will take place over the week of mid-term break (31 Oct – 4 Nov). It will consist of three days of interactive sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  During these sessions, you will receive activities that encourage creativity and connect you with other young people who have similar life experiences. The time between the live sessions can be used for catching up or further immersing yourself in your project or activity at your own pace throughout the week.

    The camp will combine on and offline activities and will provide opportunities for young people to connect through fun creative tasks.

    Participants will receive art materials by post along with inspirational digital resources, demos, and tips from the artist. All of this input will help participants to develop their own response to a theme. 

    The artist will facilitate small online groups for exploration and sharing of ideas and there will be options to either work alone or to drop into an online group session to work alongside the artist and other participants. Participants will explore ways to share their work and the whole group will reunite on the final day for a celebration of the wonderful results.

    ON AND OFFLINE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE: 

    • creative sessions over Zoom (max 1hr)
    • optional drop-in studio time
    • off-line independent making
    • optional sharing your creativity in a private group online space called Padlet
    • video-d sessions in case you miss a day or wish to repeat the content

    We’ll get in touch to say ‘hello’ and make sure that Helium Arts is the right fit.

    Step 3:

    Once eligibility is confirmed, we will get you started on a programme to suit you.

    Conditions include diabetes, epilepsy, chronic asthma, juvenile arthritis, heart conditions, spina bifida, cystic fibrosis, allergies, rare and complex conditions and more.

    All places are subject to availability and are offered on a first come, first serve basis. Booking a place on a workshop for your child constitutes agreement to Helium Arts’ Terms of Service.
