Helium Arts Teenagers Preparing for Showcase

Our comprehensive, year-long creative art programme tailored for teenagers aged 13 to 15 is an exciting journey. It features monthly in-person gatherings on the last Saturday of each month, as well as three-day camps during school holidays. The programme is currently active in Cork, Limerick, and Galway, where we are thrilled to have consistently engaged with a dedicated group of over 20 enthusiastic teenagers.

In exciting news, these young teenagers are diligently preparing for a Helium Arts Youth Showcase, where they will proudly exhibit their artistic creations in three venues in Cork, Galway and Limerick.  These young individuals are enthusiastically collaborating with professional artists who guide and support them throughout the programme. Together, they are curating the presentation of their artwork, exploring themes, crafting exhibition titles, and devising innovative methods to showcase their creations.

A ‘Sharing Day’ for family and friends of activities will also take place as part of each showcase. (Details below)

The Helium Arts programme for teenagers is supported by funding from The Community Foundation Ireland and the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal.  Speaking about the showcases, Denise Charlton, Chief Executive of Community Foundation Ireland said:

“Access to the arts is an equality issue. We are delighted to partner with Helium Arts as it brings colour, energy and joy into young lives. The showcases will now bring that enjoyment to so many others right across the country. The family days in particular should generate a lot of excitement. As a philanthropic hub and a proud partner we wish Helium Arts and all who they work with continued success.”
