We’re excited to share the results of an independent evaluation of the Helium Creative Health Programme, covering January to December 2024. The report, carried out by Helga Sneddon of Outcome Imps, takes an honest, in-depth look at the difference we’re making in children’s lives.

Over the past year, we’ve grown in both reach and depth. Participation in our hospital-based programmes rose by 92%, and we reached 5,555 children—up from 2,881 in 2023. One of the most exciting changes has been the rise in teenage involvement, which more than tripled from 350 to 1,091, helping young people prepare for the important transition to adult care.

As we grow, we’re also getting better. We’re constantly improving how we support children—helping them feel more connected, more confident, and more creatively free, while also improving their health and wellbeing.
