Let Them Make Art: The Creative Health Youth Forum is for young people aged 13–24 living with a long-term health condition.
Taking place on 26 September 2026, it is the first all-island Youth Forum of its kind, bringing together young people from across Ireland to explore creativity, share experiences and help shape conversations about how art can support health and wellbeing..
This year’s theme is Access to the Arts. Together, participants will explore what it means to access, enjoy and take part in the arts while living with a long-term health condition, and what changes could make the arts more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
The day will include fun creative workshops, group discussions and opportunities to collaborate with other young people. Whether you enjoy making art, music, writing, performance or simply want to share your ideas, the forum is a space to connect with others, express yourself and contribute to a shared vision for a more accessible future in the arts.
The Creative Health Youth Forum is open to young people aged 13–24. You don’t need to have taken part in a Helium programme before – everyone is welcome. You’re welcome to come on your own or as part of an existing youth group.
The forum is open to young people living with a long-term health condition, as well as siblings, young carers, close friends and family members of someone living with a long-term health condition.
