A door is usually an invitation.
But what if it doesn’t open?
This work asks us to think about what it means to have access to art. Sometimes the invitation is there, but there may still be something standing between us and the opportunity to enter, take part and create.
Who gets to come in?
SHADOW STORIES - Ana Colomer - Collaborative Art
Make a shadow. Make a picture. Add it to the wall.
Make it
Arrange the shapes and objects on the overhead projector. Make your own shapes too, using paper and masking tape.
Get into it
Stand in front of the light and add your shadow. Use the props to transform yourself. Add ears, claws, noses, wings... whatever you can imagine.
Take the picture
When you are happy with your creation, take a photo using the thermal camera.
Leave your mark
Hang your photo on the wall.
